Community Gardens
Gather to Grow cultivates a network of 12 urban gardens growing spaces and where people grow food in garden plots alongside their neighbors.
Come Grow with Us! We prioritize space for returning gardeners each year but nearly always have available plots for new gardeners. Sign ups begin in spring and the garden season runs from May to mid-October.
Participation
Community members who want to participate this season are asked to review and agree to the Gather to Grow Community Gardener Expectations 2025, and fill out an application for the season. In 2025 the fee per assigned plot is a suggested donation of $0-$20. Pay what you can; larger contributions welcome.
Gather to Grow Offers Community Gardeners:
- Garden Plot: Space to grow food (most garden plots are 4’x10’)
- Seeds & Seedlings: Seeds and seedlings to plant in the garden plot
- Resources: Access to water and tools
- Support: Regular support during weekly garden times
- Workshops & Events: Opportunities to deepen learning and build relationships through relevant workshops and community events

Nourishing vibrant, connected communities
Since 1999, Gather to Grow has worked alongside our community to transform vacant lots into thriving urban gardens across Lewiston and Auburn. Our gardens serve as neighborhood anchors that provide stability and build connection to people, place and land.
